Locanda Fasano, in Punta del Este, is an experience space for guests of the Hotel Fasano, with an extension of 10 suites and apartments built on a single building connected to the iconic Fasano Restaurant. The expansion is a project by Estúdio Obra Prima, with headquarters in Uruguay and Brazil, an office that also participated in the execution of the architectural project of Fasano Las Piedras, designed by the architect Isay Weinfeld, in 2010. This private residence sits within the Mauna Kea Resort on the island of Hawai’i, a place full of memories for the client who recalls family vacations to the famous hotel. The clients share an affinity for Hawai’i and Polynesia, for modern art and design, and for the beauty of natural materials and craftsmanship. They enlisted the firm to design a modern tropical home that their family would enjoy for years to come. The design solution balances traditional forms including prominent hipped roofs identified in the design guidelines for this coastal community, while translating the spirit of Polynesian cultures through a modern sense of restraint. On a site privileged by nature, immediately above Kauna’oa Bay, this home is organized as a series of modern tropical pavilions, which together conjure the impression of a small village.

The first Crowne Plaza flagship hotel in China has been settled in Shenzhen, featuring “WorkLife” rooms. CCD was invited to conceive its interiors. By adopting innovative design approaches and modern style, CCD team interpreted the cutting-edge lifestyle in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. As the first opened hotel within the international 5-star hotel complex in Expo Bay of Shenzhen, the project will set a new benchmark for Crowne Plaza properties in China.

This rooms remodeling is a project designed by box: arquitectos associados. The project approach to the remodeling accommodation units, is based on two remarkable pre-existing principles. It is a building marked by its strong connection to the Japanese garden, developing around it, in a traditional central garden environment.
