Ceramic House in Madrid By HECTOR RUIZ-VELAZQUEZ.

Located in Madrid-Spain, this is an amazing attic space conversion of an early 20th Century building. It is a creation of Spanish Architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez, and he designed it as a three-dimensional object you can move arround at different heights going up and down freely across the numerous levels.

Cassia Antica by JM Architecture.

Remodelling project of a 1960s villa, located in a residential complex along the historic consular roman road which neighbours with the Veio natural park, at the north end of the italian capital. The villa, organized on three levels, has been redesigned in order to accommodate very different functions on every level. The basement level has been dedicated to play and relax areas. This floor is hosting a large spa entirely cladded in teak wood, with a 6 x 2.5 meter counter current lap pool with hydro jets on the other end. On the other side of a clear glass wall there’s a play room. Both areas are read a a large single space due to the glass transparent wall. A sunken patio is bringing natural light to this level and it creates a private outdoor area protected from any sight of the neighbouring villas. The ground level, which is hosting all the daytime functions, is organized on two separated zones, on the left and right side of the entrance catwalk. On the left side are located the kitchen, family room and dining area, while on the right side are located the study room and the living area. Even the 1.800 square meter outdoors are strongly characterized by the use of wood. All decks are paved with Ipe wood. Other materials are gravel inserts, bamboo plants and grass. Cassia Antica was designed by JM Architecture

CAPO SPARTIVENTO LIGHTHOUSE in Cagliari, Italy.

Welcome to the Lighthouse. The idea of hospitality that we like to offer is to be and let you feel at home. For this reason we chose to don’t have a menu, specific times, or a reception. Our Chef and our Maitre, talking with you, will decide your lunch or dinner, to taste the best wines of the island and making you enjoy the best of Sardinian cuisine properly “contaminated” by the creativity of our Chef. We will try, elegantly, to meet your every need.  The Lighthouse is a passion for all of us, and far beyond just a job. And that’s why we would like to offer more than a simple vacation, but a unique experience. Welcome to your home. The Capo Spartivento Lighthouse was built in 1856 by the Italian Navy. During the last war it was machine-gunned by American planes and, later on, it functioned as the Lighthouse keeper residence until the late 80s. It has lit the way for seamen for over 150 years, slicing the darkness like a sword with its welcoming beam of light, it has become a luxury guesthouse without losing its original function. The Lighthouse is open all months of the year, and it’s really amazing in summer and even in winter with the fantastic stormy weather of the location. More info: CAPO SPARTIVENTO LIGHTHOUSE

Caro Hotel by Francesc Rifé Studio.

Located in the heart of the city, little more than 200 metres from Valencia Cathedral and the Basilica, the Caro Hotel is the first historical monument-hotel in Valencia. An urban and commercially independent hotel, the establishment has intelligently merged the legacy of historical substrata lying within its walls with the most vanguard of interior design.

Unique and authentic in style, the project undertaken by the interior designer Francesc Rifé is meticulous in its attention to detail, imbuing the hotel with a contemporary air, clean, geometric lines, which merge seamlessly with the original architectonic features of the former Palace of the Marquis of Caro, whose eclectic facade dates back to the nineteenth century. Beyond its facade, its walls stand guard over an unparalleled inheritance of more than 2,000 years of history, of which the original mosaic belonging to the founding city of the Roman era, «Valentia Edetanorum» (2nd century B.C.), the thirteenth-century Arabic defensive wall, several gothic arches and nineteenth-century constructions have been preserved, restored and integrated into its spaces.
