Northern Skylights is a project designed by Mckimm. From the street, the volume of the home is perceived in one way, and as soon as you enter through the front gate, that perception completely changes. You’re met with a bridge, suspended across the sunken basement courtyard, which leads you to the front door. The experience of ‘crossing the bridge’ is intentional. Photography by Dave Kulesza.

Project No. 355 – The Sussex is a project designed by Mckimm. A bold contemporary form and celebration of materiality, showcasing bricks, bluestone and porcelain – embodying the mass of a boulder, delicately floating within the shallows of a deep blue body of pool water, the weighted walls are softened by warm timbers and curves, all perceived through a biophilic line-of-sight.
