Chalet della madonnina is a project designed by Officina 8a. Different declinations of alpine architecture characterize the city centre: the result is heterogeneous but in harmony. Photography by Sabrina Gazzola.
The hotel that is object of reconversion, followed the ’60s style and it was not linked to the context: changes to obtain from the hotel a vacation residence were opportunity to renovation in terms of aesthetics and typological. Orientation is changed to enhance the sight on the city centre. From the underground to the roof the style is the same, all the surfaces are covered by wood. Boiserie is inside and outside also, so giving a strong identity to the architecture. Elevations are half covered by wood, half by plaster, and protected by a new 8 gabled roof.
