The Classic Brooklyn Townhome project designed by mr Architecture PLLC involved the complete renovation and modernization of an iconic brownstone in the heart of Brooklyn. Key features include a restored façade, updated interior spaces with custom millwork, state-of-the-art kitchen and bathrooms, and an open living, kitchen, and dining space. The project was completed with a focus on high esthetic for an efficient price, as the owner was focused on bringing new life into this delipidated building. The design, with touches specific to the owner, also focused on taking hints from the historical context of the neighborhood to blend feelings of history with a newness that responded to the young owner’s lifestyle and tastes. The transformation of the townhome was designed to cater to contemporary living, creating comfortable and elegant spaces that retain the original character of the classic Brooklyn architecture. The interior spaces were reimagined with an open plan living space on the first floor, allowing for improved light flow and connectivity. The project also included significant structural updates and energy-efficient systems to ensure the home meets modern standards. The design and attention to detail have resulted in a timeless and sophisticated residence that celebrates both the past and the present.
