“Several years ago my client moved to Kyiv and purchased some land and plans for a house. He then sought my advice and asked, “What do you think, is it worth building a house in this place?” I can’t explain exactly how, but I was absolutely certain I could design a house to provide his family and friends with a comfortable oasis in which to escape the hustle and bustle of the vibrant capital.
When I saw the building’s facade, I was inspired to continue its red-tile theme inside. Here, my love of red brick manifested itself in brick and mortar accents in the English style. As I immersed myself in the history of the British design, I realized a Victorian interior would ideally suit the exacting character of my client.”
