This project designed by Asquith Architecture began as a simple addition to the rear of a small two storey detached house in the Bedford Park area of North Toronto for an empty-nest couple (and their adorable poodle, Louis). Through the design and construction process the renovation expanded to include a full renovation weaving a new and modern aesthetic into the existing house. The result was a series of rejuvenated spaces large enough for them to entertain their extended family, yet small enough to maintain more intimate spaces for two. Photography by Nanne Springer.
