Apartment by Suellen Figueiredo

Recently delivered by the construction company, this apartment was unfinished and had very little circulation when the architect Suellen Figueiredo took over the renovation: her main challenge was to create spacious and comfortable environments in a very small space, while still thinking about aesthetics and, besides of all, at the best cost benefit, as the budget was limited. There was no structural change, the existing pillars and beams were maintained and only the masonry closings were relocated. The terrace gained coverage on the pergola and a window and became the home theater. Living room, kitchen and veranda on the lower floor were completely integrated, accommodating the kitchen, laundry and dining room. The opening doors were replaced by built-in sliding doors, freeing up a larger circulation area.
