Desert loft in Kyiv is a project designed by YoDezeen “When thinking of a typical loft, probably rather a cold and enough dark atmosphere comes to mind. But in this case we have managed to create a rather warm atmosphere in terms of industrial-like space: exposed concrete surface on the ceiling, natural wood as one of basic finishing materials, functional furniture upholstered in raw leather, exposed wiring on the ceiling and track lighting.
Kiev restaurant Casa Nori was designed by YoDezeen and inaugurated in Kiev not so far and will definitely become a new discovery among Ukrainian restaurants and probably not only Ukrainian. It will be operating in the format of Cicchetteria – arisen in Venice of the 19th century gastronomical locations where the protagonists of menu have been various sorts of wine and local types of snacks.
Desert loft is a project designed by YoDezeen. “When thinking of a typical loft we usually imagine a cold and enough dark space. But in this case we have unexpectedly created a rather warm atmosphere in an apartment that can be characterized as an inductrial-like space: here we widely used concrete for the flooring, wall and ceiling coverage, natural wood as one of basic finishing materials, functional furniture upholstered in raw leather, exposed wiring on the ceiling and track lighting.”
Though this apartment designed by YoDezeen is suggested to have minimalist interiors, we couldn’t lose an opportunity to add several luxurious contemporary elements like floor lamps by Delightful and chandelier by Roy & Hill in the dining room and apply a great amount of natural stone. In particular, natural travertine has been used as a basic flooring material. Open space area accomodates living, dining and kitchen areas, that are separated one from another with a rectangular bookcase which serves also as a TV stand and is faced with illuminated panels in onyx. A floor-to-ceiling greenwall is a finishing touch of the interiors that literally brings life to it. Images by YoDezeen
